Certified Organic, Pasture-Raised Chicken

The Tide Mill Organic Chicken Difference

Our birds taste fabulous. Their full, rich flavor reflects the care given to the quality of their healthy, respected lives.
Our birds are raised on fresh, green pasture, foraging every day.
Our birds are fed certified organic grains, ensuring to the fullest extent there is no genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in our chicken.
Our birds have access to fresh air and clean water for their entire lives.
Our birds are given seaweed and mineral supplements, whose benefit is passed on to you with increased vitamin and mineral content.
Our birds are not given any growth hormones or antibiotics.
Our birds are part of the whole farm ecosystem on Tide Mill Farm, a diverse family farm that has spanned nine generations on the shores of Cobscook Bay.

Fresh chickens are available weekly from June until the end of October and available frozen for as long as our inventory lasts. Our Cornish Cross chickens weigh between 3 1/2 and 5 pounds.

Certified Organic, Pasture-Raised Turkey

Our turkeys will be ready fresh for your Thanksgiving dinner and frozen for your Christmas dinner. Estimated sizes will be small - 11 to 14 pounds, medium - 15 to 20 pounds and large - 21 to 26 pounds. Our birds are $3.75 per pound.

Sampler Pork Package…25 lbs of Pork

We are selling this as a package deal. Pounds are approximate. You will be charged for the actual pounds of meat you will receive, but our goal will be to be as close to these estimates as possible. They will not vary by more than a pound.

6 lbs of pork chops at $7.75 per pound
6 lbs of fresh roasts at $5.75 per pound
6 lbs of ham roast or ham steaks at $8.00 per pound

For a total of approximately $170.

HANGING SIDE

Tide Mill Organic Farm is currently accepting a deposit of $100.00 for quality cuts of our prime 100% organically raised pork. Livestock will be ready for harvest in December 2007. A hanging side of pork, (half a pig), will weigh approximately 100 lbs, although some fluctuation does occur.

Hanging side cost/ lb: $2.70 @ 100 Lbs = $270.00

Butchering: $.65 per pound = $65.00

Smoking (Optional): $.75 per pound@40 Lbs (bacon, ham, shoulder, and hock) = $30.00

Sausage or Ground Pork: $2.50 per side

Total (based on a 100 lb side): $367.50

Note: Our goal is for a hanging side to weigh approximately 100 pounds. The packaged pork you receive will be less than 100 lbs, as some shrinkage does occur during cutting. How much shrinkage depends on how you want your side processed. For example, if you do not want the bones, suet, leaf lard, or organ meats, you may receive approximately 80 packaged pounds of meat.

10 lbs of chicken. $3.75 per pound for wholes; $4.00 per pound for 1/2 chickens and quarter chickens; $8.75 per pound for boneless, skinless breasts.
10 lbs of pork (see prices of the Sampler Pork Package). In addition to the cuts in the sampler pork package, we also have spare ribs at $6.00 per pound; country ribs at $7.75 per pound; and nitrate free smoked ham roasts and ham steaks at $8.25 per pound and bacon for $9.75 per pound.

You may join our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Program and receive a discount rate on delicious organic meats delivered directly to you.

This opportunity includes 10 lbs of chickens, 10 lbs of pork, and 5 lbs of grass-fed beef. The total would be approximately $150 based on the individual weights of your selection of cuts.
